County Durham pair ‘counterfeit’ Reform Britain Candidate when racist publications appear online – northern echo

Both Brooke and Julie-Anne Norman of Schildon have fallen falsely that they stand as future candidates for reform in the United Kingdom in the upcoming spring elections of the Durham County Council this May.

The couple undertook social media in late January, claiming to be “humble” and “proud” that they were selected to stand in Shildon, Dene Valley and Coundon using the Reform UK logo and the HQ address.

A spokesman of the Reform said, “I can confirm that they are not candidates. No one has been selected all over the country yet. They have never been on the move because they have not passed a check.”

Along with the requested candidacy of the couple, a joint social media page was opened, containing racist images – but it has not been confirmed that this is the reason why the couple fails.

The account, called “GM Brooke Norman KT”, is registered in their names and includes photos of them on vacation and at family events.

A photo of the page in April 2019 was also published on the page, which marked Islam as a “cult of death”, as well as an image that claims that the European Union is the Nazi Party.

It is only now, six years after the account was last used, Dorman has commented on the page on February 5 from his new account, claiming that he was “hacked” and he is not “the person they are trying to depict.”

Stopping G -n and d -Norman comes just over a week after the leader of the United Kingdom reform Nigel Farage told the northern echo that “extremists and nuts” are not welcome in the party.

At the Durham Party Conference at Sunderland Live Arena at Houghton-Le-Spring on February 1, Mr Farage urges the party to apply a strict verification system.

He said: “We are checking all the candidates for the local government at a level that I do not think that a party in British political history has made it before.

“We will not have extremists or nuts – we won’t have them. I don’t thank you.”

Both G -H and Dzh Norman were offered the opportunity to comment, but did not answer.
