Los Angeles, California – Two Mexican citizens have been charged with stealing freight from a freight train in the Mojave Desert, according to the Ministry of Justice. It is alleged that the men have taken approximately 71 cases of construction instruments.

Jesus Omar Lopez Quintero, 34 years old, and Juan Alonando Enrique, 24 -year after deportation. During his initial participation in the US District Court in Los Angeles, a federal magistrate judge ordered them and scheduled his decision on February 25th.

“This case demonstrates the threat that transnational criminal organizations represent for the trade of our nation, as well as the danger caused by trains and their operators,” said the Joseph Prosecutor Joseph McNal. “Our office will aggressively pursue those who repeatedly violate our laws and will ensure that they face consequences in the criminal system.”

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department received a call for a suspicious vehicle near the train tracks in Barrestow on January 28th. Employees are watching a white van from loads driven by a stopped freight train with an open delivery container. After pursuit, Quinno and Enrique fled to the desert but were detained. Authorities have discovered approximately 71 cases of Milwaukee instruments in the van estimated at $ 16,307, and 13 cases near train tracks, estimated at $ 7,792.

Quintero has been deported from the United States to Mexico five times since 2013 and has previous sentences for illegal entry. Enrique was deported twice in 2022, if convicted, and both are confronted with the federal prison for the theft and up to two years for illegally re -introduction.

The case is being investigated by investigations into internal security and the Sheriff Department of San Bernardino County, with Assistant Prosecutor of the United States Sofia Carrilo.
