No. 22 Michigan Men’s Tennis is headed to the west to take over Boise State – Impact 89FM

Eastern Lansing – No. 22 Michigan’s male tennis goes on the road this weekend while traveling to Idaho to take Broncos.

The Spartans will continue to look back to the victory column after dropping their two games last week against No. 16 Tennessee, 4-3, and fell on Clemson, 5-2. This makes three losses in a row as MSU is now sits 4-3 during the season.

The Spartans won their points against Clemson from single won by freshman Matthew Forbes in straight sets, both 6-2. Senior Max Sheldon bounced back and received the other point of the Spartans in the match, winning in two sets, winning 6-4 and 6-3.

Forbes was named the big ten freshman of the week last Wednesday, making the first time in the history of Spartan, which received the award, which was performed this season. Junior Ozan Barris maintained his individual ranking 8 ITA last week while he sits 13-4 during the season.

For Boise State, they sit at 3-1 during the year, winning three in a row after they dropped their first game of the season to # 5 Virginia 4-2. Their previous victories came against VCU, Idaho and East Washington. Broncos will look to maintain their victorious series alive.
