Police in North Las Vegas seeks the public’s assistance when finding a fatal vehicle with a hit-News3lv

Las Vegas (KSNV) – The North Las Vegas Police Department is actively investigating a fatal strike accident that happened early on Saturday morning and appealed to the public to assist in finding a suspected vehicle.

The employees responded to a report on an auto-singer clash around 4:06 am near Lake Meid Boulevard and McCaran Street.

After arrival, they found a man on the lane who was declared dead at the scene, police said.

The main unit for investigation of the department’s disaster is the leading investigation.

Preliminary findings show that the pedestrian crosses Lake Meade Boulevard west of McCaran, outside a marked intersection when it was struck by a vehicle traveling east with a suspect high speed.

The driver escaped from the scene before officers arrived, authorities said.

Investigators have narrowed the description of the suspected vehicle to a tan or beige 1998-2002. Grand Marquis Mercury with a dark -colored Landau roof.

Police say the vehicle was thought to have had moderate damage from the front end, especially on the right front, and there is no mirror on the side of the passenger, headlamp and rotation signal.

A photo of such a vehicle is released to help identify.

The speed is believed to be a factor to the crash, although it is not known whether the injury was involved in pedestrians, police said.

Corron’s Corronron service will release the identification of the deceased, along with the cause and the way of death.
