A male massage therapist has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a female client at a physiotherapy clinic in Ajax on several occasions, Durham Regional Police said on Saturday.
Durham Regional Police’s Criminal Investigations Branch received a complaint on October 2.
Police began investigating a man working as a massage therapist at the physical therapy business, who police did not identify but was said to be in the area of Harwood Avenue South and Emperor Street.
A woman contacted police to report that she had been sexually assaulted while receiving treatment.
The police investigation lasted several weeks, and on October 24, Nicholas M. Luck, 50, of Whitby, was charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Luck was released on a venture. The charges have not been proven in court, police said.
Global News reached out to Luck through his professional networking account on LinkedIn, but he did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Durham police said investigators “have concerns that there may be other victims” and released a photo of the suspect.
They are urging anyone with information on this matter to contact D/Cst. Eswaranathan of the Western Division Criminal Investigation Division at 1-888-579-1520, extensions 2531 or 2272.
