Baton Rouge Christmas Prognosis: Rain Christmas Eve, Clearing until afternoon – AOL

Baton Rouge, La. (Brproud) -After a cool weekend, a warmer and more powerful weather returns to Baton Rouge just in time for Christmas. The southern winds will bring rising temperatures and increase the chances of rain throughout the week.

Christmas Eve: The clouds are being built, the rain holds

More clouds will move to Christmas Eve, but the day will remain mostly dry. An isolated shower is possible or two late at night, although the rain is likely to stay until midnight.

Christmas Day: wet until the evening

Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms all morning and afternoon at Christmas, with the worst rain probably in the afternoon. The conditions will begin to improve by the evening, with the sky remains mostly a cloud Christmas evening.

The best time to travel

If you are traveling through South Louisiana or the Southeast Region, the best days for this will be Monday and Christmas Eve. The rain and the storms of Christmas and in the afternoon can cause a delay in travel, but more dry conditions are expected at night.

The weather all over the country

Most of the United States will have dry Christmas travel conditions, but several regions could see time -related problems:

  • Northwest: Circles of rain, impulses and mountain snow are expected as many systems move.

  • Midwest: Scattered showers and thunderstorms can cause Christmas delays.
