Toddler suffers from life-threatening injuries after firing I-40 to the east in Winston-Salem, according to police-Aol

Winston-Salem, NC (WGHP) -A investigates after shooting left a small child critically wounded.

According to the Winston-Salem police department, around 10:45 pm on Monday, officers were called to hospital after two people with firearms arrived to be treated.

Police claim that three people were shot while driving on I-40 to the east, near Buchanan Street. An elderly man and a young child were shot dead. The man is stable, but the injuries of the young child are considered life -threatening.

Police in Winston-Salem claim that this seems to be an isolated incident, the investigation is ongoing.
