Scotsdale church welcomes a new organist – Scottsdale.org

The United Methodist Church in northern Scottsdale has announced that Lindsay Johnson is his new director of the organist and the bell.

“With remarkable experience in musical performance, education and research, Johnson is ready to bring a new perspective on the church’s musical ministry,” said a spokesman.

The Local Music Career in Texas has taken her throughout the country. She won a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration of Southwestern Adventist University of Southwestern University.

She then pursued a Master’s Degree in Organ Results at Arizona State University, where she continued her academic career as a PhD. Candidate in music.

“I’m ready to deal with the next chapter on my academic trip and I am ecstatic to work with the incredible faculty of music,” she said.

Johnson also serves as an assistant music professor at the University of Southwestern Adventist, ASU teaching assistant and a keyboard instructor at Prestige Music Academy in Phoenix.

“Her dynamic career demonstrates her passion for both presentation and education, which makes her an invaluable addition to the vital music community of the Church,” says the church in the announcement of her appointment.

“Johnson’s leadership will bring new energy to northern Scottsdale UMC’s worship, improving the experience of the assembly through both organ music and Bell Choir.”
