Garland of Cavaliers, Mitchell, Mobli Part of NBA All -Star Saturday – The Morning Journal

San Francisco – Damian Lillard strives to join Larry Bird and Craig Hodge at an elite club. And Victor Wangnyama will show some skills through All-Star Weekend.

Lillard, the Milwaukee guard, was announced on Friday as one of the participants in this year’s 3-point competition, which will be held on All-Star Saturday night in San Francisco on February 15th.

Wembanyama, the second year San Antonio Star, will be one of the eight players in The Skills Challenge on All-Star Saturday. This field was also revealed on Friday.

Lillard bans to win his third consecutive 3-point title-something that only birds and hogs have done. Bird won the first three editions of the 3 -point competition from 1985 to 1987; Hodges went back from 1990 to 1992

The 3 -point competition also includes New York Jalen Brunson, Detroit Cade Kentingham, Darius Garland in Cleveland, Tyler Hero in Miami, a friend of Golden State Hyde, Kam Johnson in Los Angeles Norman Powell.

Lillard will make his fifth 3-point competition. Hynd has been in the event three previous times, winning in 2020. Brunson and Hero are the second time; Everyone else makes their 3-point debut competition.

The skill event is made up of teams for two players. They are Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobli, representing Cleveland Cavaliers, Alex Sar of Washington and Atlanta, Ratiki, representing the NBA NBA class, Wangnyama and Chris Paul, representing the Spurs and Dremond Green and Moses, representing the hosts of Golden’s warriors.

The participants in the Dunk competition were officially announced earlier this week: Orlando’s two-way player Mc McLung will try to become the first person to win three consecutive Dunk competitions.
