Virginia Carmen Lindel Katkart

Virginia Carmen Lindel Katkart, born April 24, 1932 in Warren County, Pennsylvania, died quietly on February 4, 2025, at the home of her daughter Anne MP in Gardners, Pennsylvania.

Virginia has been preceded by the death by her husband Donald Kakart, her parents Ernest and Ruth Lindel and her brother Maurice Lindel.

After graduating from the University of Taylor in 1953, Virginia married and spent the greater part of her life in Preblel, New York, where he was a loyal member of the Baptist Church of Golgotha. Her deep faith in her Savior Jesus Christ and the devotion to her church were central to her life, as she enjoyed many years as a church secretary. She also found a joy and goal in sewing and generously donated many of her handmade items in the crisis of pregnancy crisis, reflecting her compassionate spirit and commitment to help others.

She survived her children: Anne (James) MP, Dean (Jane) Katart and Lawrence (Wendy) Katart. Virginia’s heritage lives through her 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as several nephews and nephews who will remember her with love.

Virginia’s life was a testament to her faith, generosity and love for the family. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 2 pm at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Russell, Pennsylvania. A memorial service, which will be held on Monday, February 17, in the Baptist Church of Golgotha, 6753 NY-281, Preble, NY 13141. An hour to call 10-11 hours with a service to follow.
