Sweet youth: 20-year-old owned three snowball stands, plans for more-wbrz

Baton Rouge – At the age of 5, Zane Clayton sometimes persuaded his mother to take him to the snowball stand two or three times a day.

Ten years later, he opened his first snowdock – his own snowball stand.

Now Clayton has two permanent stands and one mobile stand.

“I’ve always had a love for snowballs since I was a young child,” Clayton said.

He also realized early that he wanted to be an entrepreneur. With his mother’s encouragement, he did it.

Clayton, who is from Adis, opened the first stand in Bruceley. The other permanent stand is in Baton Rouge.

He said he wanted to meet the teens in the workforce.

“Hiring different teenagers, people my age and I just let them get a job at a young age – I know that would be a cool first job,” he said.

He told WBRZ that they were also supporting the heroes of the community, providing free snowballs to the first reacting.

Clayton still has big plans.

“Before the end of this year, I want to have 5 places in the state of Louisiana, I also plan my biggest expansion so far, this year and it will be outside the state,” he said.
