FHP: Tallahassee Man Dead After Losing Control around Curve, bumping a tree on Friday night – WCTV

Tallahassee, Florida (WCTV) -61-year-old man is dead after colliding into a tree on the road of Moccasin Gap Road on Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Authorities have reported that the man has drawn a ten -foot trailer with a Moccasin Gap Road SUV near Forest Pine Trail, when “for unknown reasons, the driver failed to (navigate) to the left.”

The all -terrain vehicle diverted from the lane to the right and then turned to the left of the south shoulder, authorities said. The all -terrain vehicle struck with a head into a tree, which throws the driver from the vehicle, according to FHP.

“(The vehicle) came to the last break through the Moccasin Gap Road road lanes,” the press said.

The man was declared dead in place.

FHP noted that the driver did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
