Two men plead guilty to a conspiracy for smuggling aliens – KGNS

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Two Larendo men have pleaded guilty to a conspiracy for smuggling of undocumented migrants for the purpose of profit.

It is alleged that 34-year-old Danny Nunes organized the smuggling of hundreds of undocumented immigrants in Larendo, dating from March 2023.

The investigation tied Nuñez to a smuggling event in December 2023. At that time, law enforcement agencies observe that several people were loaded into a white trailer in a parking lot. Search revealed more than 100 people imprisoned in a trailer, including children.

Second man, 49-year-old Juan Manuel Agre, pleaded guilty to conspiracy about the same event. Now both Nuñez and Aguirre are up to 10 years in prison and will remain in custody in anticipation of a sentence.
