4 different Laredoans arrested for DWI on same night – KGNS

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – Four people woke up behind bars after allegedly making some bad decisions, each arrested in connection with separate DWI incidents.

The first happened on Thursday, October 24, at 10:30 p.m., when officers responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Jacaman Rd. and cycle 20.

The driver of the Ford F-350, identified as 21-year-old Eddie Ehrenzweig, allegedly ran a red light and collided with vehicles in the intersection. According to police, Ehrenzweig showed signs of intoxication while speaking with officers.

He was arrested and charged with the first DWI of the night.

The next arrest occurred at 11:00 p.m. after police attempted to pull over a speeding black Cadillac in the 2400 block of Sanders Ave.

According to police, the driver, 19-year-old Juan Jose Charo, appeared to be intoxicated and had open bottles of alcohol in the vehicle.

There was another one-year-old child and a nine-month-old baby in the car. The driver was arrested and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15.

Later, around 4 a.m., an officer saw a vehicle with an open door in the 700 block of West Hillside Rd.

There, the police found the driver slumped over the steering wheel. After waking up the driver, 23-year-old Andres Vega Sekeda, the officer saw signs of intoxication.

Police said Sequeda became verbally aggressive and tried to run away. They managed to detain him, and during a search of the car, they found a gun.

Sekeda was arrested and charged with DWI refusal and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Finally, shortly after that incident, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash to the 7100 block of North Bartlett.

there in the middle of the road they found a blue Nissan Armada with visible damage.

The driver, 38-year-old Felipe Manuel Suarez, also showed signs of being drunk. After administering a field sobriety test, officers arrested Suarez and charged him with DWI.
