Las Vegas (KSNV) – Starting next week, construction will start on the CLARK County 215 Beltway (CC-215) project/Summerlin Parkway Rentchange.

This extensive 3-year project aims to expand Beltway, improve connectivity and safety, relieve congestion, improve mobility and support the continued development of the Summerlin area.

The $ 130 million project will include the reconfiguration of exchange ramps, building a new flushing ramp from the south CC-215 to the east Summerlin Parkway, building new bridges, expanding the existing Summerlin Parkway bridge and adding three new paths to the path to Expanded the city road of Las Vegas Trail through the CC-215.

Additional enhancements include the construction of retaining walls, storm drainage facilities, traffic control devices and signs, as well as improvements in traffic signals and street lighting.

Throughout the construction period, strips and exchange ramps will face periodic restrictions or closure.

Message advice within the project corridor will also inform motorists and residents of changes in traffic models.

Initial traffic restrictions will include a reduction in the night lane in both directions of the CC-215 north and south between Far Hills Ave and Lake Mead Blvd., starting on February 10th.

The speed limit will be reduced to 55 miles / h within the project to ensure the safety of construction crews.

The regular hours for the day’s change will be from Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30 pm, and the night shift construction hours will be from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 pm in the morning

Motorists are urged to show caution while traveling through work areas and considering alternative routes when possible.

Due to the fluid nature of the road work, the public is reminded that the schedules of construction and the impact of travel can change with their short notice.
