The 16th Hole in the TPC Scottsdale exploded on Friday when Emiliano Grillo recorded a spectacular helmet hole in one during the second round of WM Phoenix Open.

The Argentine, who launched 1-on 71 in the first round on Thursday, approached the famous “Hole Stadium” of PAR-3 and struck his shot from 155 yards outside. Instead of landing on the green, his ball flew directly into the glass, creating a dramatic ace for dipping a helmet, which sent the crowd to three levels in madness.

As the ball was walking the flag before setting into the hole, the iconic “strongest hole in golf” lived next to its nickname. Fans showered the area with beer glasses and bottles of water while Grillo celebrated by throwing his club in the air.

It was the 12th hole in one in the 16th hole after WM Phoenix Open moved to the TPC Scottsdale in 1987, and the first after Sam Ryder and Carlos Ortiz reached the feat in 2022, in particular, it was Only the second second ACE in The Hole in Tournament History, with Mike Spossa recorded the first in 2002.
