Newport Beach, CA – a man from Orange County and his wife strive to make a change for the elderly living in Newport Beach and Irvine.

Amol Kanitar and his wife, Janhavi, currently own and operate “elderly people helping the elderly” who takes care of the home, which stands separately from the rest, focusing on hiring reliable, mature care.

“As our population continues to grow old, a larger number of elderly people who live alone are increasing, but they need communion and some help for their daily activities,” Amol told Patch. “In the same way, there are many healthy elderly people looking for a meaningful job that gives them the flexibility of working on their own schedule.”

“The elderly who help the elderly satisfy this need beautifully by creating a mutually beneficial agreement for both,” he added.

Amol said that the family’s decision to manage home care franchise after 25 years in the IT industry is the result of his own experience that grows in India, where care for elders is not only a tradition-but a hidden part of life.

“And Yanhavi and I grew up in extended families where our grandparents stayed with us,” Amol said. “It really made us familiarize each other with the difficulties they face while they get older, and also first hand attempts to take care of their needs.”

Today, Amol and Yanhawi take advantage of the cultural custom to serve families who want to keep close, safe and connected at home.

“Our mission is to have a positive impact on the lives of the elderly we use and the ones we serve,” Amol said. “In this sense, we strive to properly take care and recipients of care for a mutual rewarding experience.”

At the moment, the elderly who help the elderly hire care care to provide home care, such as: accompanying, socialization, transportation to meetings, reminders of medicines and personal care.
