A suspect accused of a deadly disaster with pedestrians in Virginia Beach-13newsnow.com Wvec

Virginia Beach, Washington-man by Virginia Beach was accused of the hit death of a pedestrian on the early morning of Friday, January 31st.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, employees have received a signal for a crash involving a pedestrian in the Bonney Road 3700 block around 1:40 in the morning last Friday.

When police and crews from the Virginia Beach Fire Service and Virginia Beach emergency services responded to the scene, they discovered 63-year-old Thomas Moore of Virginia Beach, dead on the road.

Initially, an investigation found that Moore was killed by a vehicle that hit him and escaped from the scene.

On February 7, authorities were able to identify the suspects, 41-year-old Michael Shippi of Virginia Beach and take him in custody without incidents.

He is charged with two charges of a crime that possesses a substance holding a schedule I/II substance and driving under influence.
