Employees chase a Box truck driver early on Friday after heading on the wrong road on I -70 west of Topeka – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies were looking for a truck driver early in Friday after the vehicle escaped from officers east in the western sails of the Interstate 70 west of Topeka.

The pursuit of the vehicle ended around 6:20, Friday near the I-70 and SW Auburn Road after reporting that the truck had passed over stop clips and left the north side of the road.

It is then reported that the driver of the vehicle left the truck and fled to the north on foot.

The employees were looking for the driver, but had not found the individual from 6:30 Friday.

The truck was sought in connection with an incident earlier on Friday in a business in the Manhattan area.

The pursuit began after officers located on the vehicle west of Topeka near Paxiko in Vabansi County.

It is then reported that the truck escaped from officers while driving east in the western sails of the I-70.

There were no instant messages of injuries.

Authorities said fire units from Shawney County were responding to the scene at 6:40 Friday.

The incident is also looking for a red Ford Mustang, which may have been involved in the incident.

The Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s service was the leading agency in the investigation, employees said.

The Kansas highway patrol was among the agencies that responded to the incident west of Topeka.
