CSUSB celebrates the Month of the Black SmSu -North History with the opening ceremony – Coyote Chronicle

On February 4, 2025, the Center for the success of students in Pan Africa, Passc, hosted a ceremony to celebrate the month of black history to recognize the struggles and power with which the Afro -American community is confronted and overcome The whole story.

During the event and Anthony Roberson, President of The Back Student Union and Dr. Brandon Gamble, director of the Black Student Success Office, were interviewed and shared their thoughts about the importance on students as well as on campus as whole.

The events that celebrate the story of the black, such as this one, are useful for the campus to show diversity and to enable students to feel seen and welcomed into the campus. Students across the campus appeared for the Coyote walk in front of the SMSU North building to celebrate the month of black history. With raffles, free food and entertainment, the training of the campus community for culture and history was the focus for some students and what they hoped to win.

Two freshmen, Jenna Abdulhak and Amor Prophet, managed to motivate them to appear and stay for the event.

“Going to school events and participation is what motivates me to come,” Abdulhak says with Coyote Chronicle.

Asked what they hoped to learn from the event, and the prophet, and Abdulhak managed to tell us what such an event meant to both of them.

“I would be glad to learn new relationships and people, as well as more of my culture,” Prophete said. “I hope it shows more awareness of our culture and this shows that we are united and together.”
