The Florida CPA Institute has collected over 100 CPA on an annual CPA visit to the Talahassi state in the Talahassi State to promote the importance of the CPA profession in the Sunshine country and to advocate for legislative priorities in 2025, including more flexibility upon receipt of a CPA license.

This year, FicPa said it supports legislation that offers innovative CPA licensing pathways in Florida while maintaining strong standards and protecting public confidence. The aim is to ensure an effective, effective licensing process that strengthens and encourages the economy of the state, meets the growing requirements of the labor force and maintains precautions that protect the public interest.

“My main priority is to protect the CPA license and maintain the integrity of our profession. I am committed to working with our partners in the legislature to turn Florida model for the rest of the nation,” said FICPA President Shelli President and CEO Shelli Wair in A statement on Thursday. “The proposed legislative changes will modernize the license, offer more options and provide efficiency in the licensing process. This guarantees that Florida remains a leader in licensing CPA for a business that helps people do business and work in our big country. ”

Florida is one of a number of states watching Alternatives to the traditional 150-hour rule as a way to win the CPA license.

“We have discussed the importance of our legislative priorities and to protect the CPA license as well as the vital role that CPA plays to maintain the power of Florida economy,” says FICPA chairman Ed Duarte in a statement. “We will continue to be active in making the path for legislative actions that are favorable to the profession and will remain focused on promoting and protecting the profession and strengthening the Florida talents.”
