“Smash and Grab” Nets Felony Arrests – Fontana Herald -News

The Sheriff Department of San Bernardino County is operating again with local law enforcement agencies in San Bernardino County. From January 4 to January 17, this Smash and Grab Operation Procedure has led to 16 crimes arrests and $ 2,933 in restored property.

The Department of Bands and Drugs in San Bernardino County, Rancho Kukamonga Station, San Bernardino County Probation Department, Internal Security Investigations, California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino Police Department have conducted this operation to steal participation.

This operation focuses on commercial neighborhoods in Rancho Kukamonga, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville and Chino Hills to violate and dismantle the theft of retail stores. Researchers use conventional and unconventional undercover work methods to wait for parking lots to complete this task and reduce the effects of this reported retail theft.

In November 2023, the Sheriff Department of San Bernardino County reported an increase in thefts in retail stores. The department noted the participation of organized crews that perform robberies, thefts, shelves and vandalism.

According to authorities, these groups will pass through San Bernardino County and use the intimidation and effect of the “mafia mentality” to make customers and keep employees feel dangerous and uncomfortable.

The San Bernardino Supervisory Board has authorized funding to support this suppression of crime throughout the county. The Council will finance the operations of the Department of presence of law enforcement to deal with the quality of life problems affecting many communities.
