“Jason Roskov was a patron, guardian of our community, a man who carried the badge, knowing the risk that came with her, and yet he answered the call every day,” said North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Gines-Brown.

While many knew the Roskov officer behind the badge, others who knew him at a lower level say he was the type of person who had always put others first.

“Outside, he will always miss everything to make sure he is there to help a friend in need,” said the chairman of the wounded police office Alexander Sevas.

“We want to make sure we focus on officer Jason Roskov and make sure that our fundraising efforts go for a good cause with the wishes of the family; they actually want the money raised to go to both boys,” added an officer Quevas.

Funeral arrangements for officer Roskov are still being made.

An event for raising funds through the casualtable police office is scheduled for Monday, February 10th from 9:00 to 2pm at 4065 S. Jones Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89103.
