A former employee of the Renault Police Department appeared in court on Thursday for claiming to have violated the civil rights of two peoples to be free from unreasonable search and seizure.

A federal jury returned an indictment accusing 30-year-old Tyler Michael Baer of Renault with two accusations of deprivation of law rights according to a message from the United States Prosecutor’s Office for Nevada County.

According to the prosecution and statements made in court on December 31, 2023, BAEHR claims that he deprived someone of the right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure by taking his mobile phone while stopping movement and taking sexually explicit photos From it.

On August 12 last year, Baehr claims that he deprived another person of the right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure by taking her mobile phone while stopping traffic and illegally searched through her personal photos and messages.

If convicted, BAEHR faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
