Three children and a woman are dead after an apparent suicide in Chesapik, according to police.

According to officials, shortly before 7 o’clock in the morning, the officers were sent to 3000 block of Welcome Road to check well -being.

Employees arrived at the scene and were able to determine that an armed woman was inside the residence. After trying to negotiate with the armed theme, the police eventually called the SWAT team for assistance.

Shortly thereafter, the SWAT team initiated an emergency entrance after finding that it was “likely to have deceased minors at the residence”. After entering the house, the officers found three children and a woman dead at the scene. The woman is said to have died due to a self -inflicted firearm wound.

Photos from the scene show a heavy presence of an emergency vehicle.

“Generally this morning, I just called, um, mainly saying that she had killed the children, that she would commit suicide because her girlfriend had left,” Ivoni said. “I was distrust at first, but I came.”

Nearby resident talks to Karina Garcia on Wavy about the incident, who said she heard a lot of screaming early in the morning.
