The director of the Fremont County Library publicly blames after talking against the Disability Bill – Daily Cowboy State Daily

The director of the library of Fremont County was publicly reprimanded at a boarding meeting on Thursday after giving testimony against a proposed state law, which seeks to criminalize, offering obscene books and materials to children in libraries.

In response, she said she would clarify her position to state legislators and accept any official action against her as an experience in training.

Anita Martle speaks on Monday Opposite House Bill 194 Before the Wyoming Judicial System Committee.

If it becomes a law, HB 194 will criminalize the exposure of minors to indecent, with a broader and less flexible definition than the Wyoming Act already contains.

This will also change the law so that prosecutors can blame librarians and teachers with crimes to expose people to indecency. They can’t do it now.

In the State of Capitol on Monday, Marple identified itself as director of the library system of Fremont County, as evidenced by the bill. She warned that this would go beyond the local fighting policies that have already been introduced in Wyoming, and said it could also cause “legal” by community members against librarians.

“Unprofitting”

The deputy chairman of the library of Fremont Marta Mosburg was not impressed. During a regular board meeting on Thursday, Mosburg pointed the language in the system rules, saying that the library’s executive director served as an official spokesman for the library.

“Your testimony was the official position of the library?” Mosburg asked. “Where did you say this was your personal opinion?”

Mosburg said she watched the video from the committee meeting three times and Marpe “never” made this distinction.

Board of Kristen McCleland, a disconnected critic of the books for a sexual explanation in the youth sections of the library, was also ready to testify to the committee, albeit through a virtual relationship. But the committee did not come to her testimony, McCleland noted.

MARAL WHO has withstood some calls In order to purify contradictory books from the youth section of the library, she said she signaled members of the board on Saturday before the meeting, which would testify and make the trip at her own expense.

Mosburg proposed to read Marple’s testimony at the board.

“I can read it myself,” Marpel counters and admitted that he did not distinguish that he expressed his personal opinion.

“I got into trouble”

Mosburg called the course hypocritical, noting that she and McCleland “were” difficult “with the board for expressing their personal opinions of the Fremont County Commission in the height of the system Secrally excluded books disputesS

Like McCleland, Mosburg is also a vocal critic for sexual and graphic books in the youth sections of the library.

For the library system of Fremont County, the contradictions of where the rights of the free speech of the employees begin and their business on board are repeated.

Marpel publicly distorted McCleland last year after McCleland wore a shirt in a public place that reads “take porn at the Fremont County Library” in protest of sexual and graphic books.

McCleland “took responsibility” from falling over the shirt at the time, but noted that she also had strong personal opinions.

“I talked to the press”

Mosburg invited Mosburg to register an official complaint against her at the Thursday meeting.

“Go straight,” said Marple.

Mosburg said Marpel has applied a permit double standard for his own behavior.

“I think hypocrisy here is outrageous -” Mosburg began.

“Really?” said Marple with a touch of irony.

Marple countered, saying that Mosburg spoke with Cowboy State every day in past news.

Most often in library stories, however, Cowboy State Daily has quoted Mosburg statements made During the meetings on board.

For history last February Mosburg responded to Cowboy State’s daily request for a comment on Dispute between yourself and another member of the board. The other member of the board was also invited to comment at the time, but did not.

Mosburg has contributed guest columns to the exit, exclusively on topics related to Nelibra.

Forward

Marple told Cowboy State every day after the meeting that he would accept the consequences if the board decides to violate the rules.

“I’m teaching this,” she said.

Marple said she chose to testify not to cause friction, but “as a person with a personal share” in the fate of the bill and as someone who will be influenced directly by him.

She said she would follow the members of the Chamber Judiciary Committee to clarify that he was testified in his own name.
