Louisiana launches a new innovation brand and AI Research Institute – Greater Baton Rouge Business Report



Louisiana Economic Development announced on Thursday the launch of Louisiana Innovation (La.io), a new unit of LED dedicated to turning Louisiana into the leader in the development of higher-growing high-growth companies.

La.io’s first initiative is the creation of the Louisiana Growth Fund, with initially federal funding of $ 50 million, which innovators can use when creating and scathing out launch companies in Louisiana. La.io also seems to develop the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Louisiana.

The new 501C3 will serve as a leading anchor of the state for our State Strategy for AI, which is focused on applied research and development, commercialization, development and labor policy. The institute’s first project is to modernize 5,000 small Louisiana businesses with AI tools that will allow them to scathing their business and improve their competitiveness.
