Neighbors remember shooting events that killed a police officer in North Las Vegas – Yahoo! Voices

Las Vegas (Klas) – the day after the shooting, which took the life of a police officer in North Las Vegas Jason Jason Roskov, the neighborhood in which it happened was quiet.

Some neighbors overplayed the events in their heads, others redirected it to videos made on their phones.

Videos such as those taken from Roy Brown show the consequences of the shooting as the officer is treated by other responses. Brown, a minister who has lived in the community for more than 20 years, was about to go out when shots were ranging.

“Just when I went to touch the door to open the door, then I heard all Pow Pow Pow Pow Pow Pow Pow Pow,” Brown said.

The noise of these rifles is a rare sound in the neighborhood, according to the resident Craig Gomez.

“It’s a good neighborhood,” Craig said. “It’s safe. We don’t have that. I think this was an isolated incident. “

The incident was a cause for concern and grief in the neighborhood.

“For something like that will happen, you know, everyone is wondering that one of us is? Because we are a family here, ”Brown said.

Roskov died in the UMC, with the forklift accompanying him to the Corrona Corrona office.

“This incident happened right there and it will always be with me,” Brown said. “This will stick to my mind, this officer, especially when I saw the news that they said he had died.”

Brown, hoping to find a positive of the situation, plans to use it as a way to demonstrate how precious life is in his ministry.
