Topeka, Kan. (Wibw) – a two -storey house fire in the northeast of Topeca causes damage of $ 30,000.

The crews with the Topeka Fire Service were called to the fire scene shortly after 2:30 on Thursday at 1110 Ne Monroe St. St. No residents found in the home during the fire.

Firefighters were able to prevent the flame from causing the damage to any adjacent structures and ultimately extinguished the flames.

Investigators continue to determine the cause of the fire, but the preliminary investigation says the fire may have started on the ceiling.

The estimated fire loss is approximately $ 30,000 with $ 20,000 in structure and $ 10,000 lost content.

No injuries have been reported.

Evergy, AMR and Kansas Gage Service helped the fire. Investigators say no working smoke detectors have been found in the home.
