A man accused of murder nearly 2 months after the girlfriend’s death in hyaliah – WPLG Local 10

Hialeah, FLA. -28-year-old man from southwestern Florida was arrested after police said fatally shot his girlfriend at Hyalea’s home late last year.

Jendry Antolin Espinosa by Lehigh Acres has been taken in custody without incidents after an investigation on December 14, 2024, according to Hyalea police.

Employees responded to a call 911 shortly after 9:30 pm by a man who announced that his girlfriend had been shot by his friend.

When the officers arrived at home, police said they had found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Espinosa approached officers at the scene and admitted that he was the one who fired a shot, police said.

The Hyaliah’s fire rescuer transports the victim to Ryder’s traumatology center at Jackson’s Memorial, where she later died of her injuries.

Witnesses told the detectives that they were hanging in the common area of ​​the home when Espinosis came into the bedroom again and went out, holding a gun, according to an arrest report.

When Espinosa approached the front door, witnesses said they had heard a strong rifle and saw the victim bleeding before he collapsed, the report said. Witnesses also told police that the shooting seemed accidental.

After reading her rights to Miranda, police said Espinosis had made recognition that was edited in the publicly issued report.

Prison records show that Espinosis faces a number of murder with a deadly weapon.

As of Thursday morning, he was held at the Turner Guilford Knight correction center, where his bond was indicated at $ 15,000.
