Gemini cities, MN – the twin subway can see up to 11 inches of snow this weekend, according to the latest forecast for the National Meteorological Service.

“This is one of the best signals we’ve had throughout the winter for a wide range of snow accumulation,” NWS said. “There is still time to change the track slightly, but the snow is very likely for Friday on Saturday.”

As of Thursday morning, the forecasts of snowfall from Minneapolis-SV. Paul Airport indicates 1 to 3 inches on Friday, followed by a more significant accumulation of 4 to 8 inches on Saturday.

NWS has released a clock for a winter storm for parts of central, eastern central, southern central and southeastern minnesota, as well as the Northwest and Western Central Wisconsin.

In Wisconsin, the clock covers Polk, Barron, Rusk, St. Croix, Pierce, Dunn, Pepin, Chippewa and Eau Claire.

The storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall late Friday night to Saturday afternoon.

Snowfall can lead to dangerous travel conditions, including snowy roads and reduced visibility.

Residents in the affected areas must prepare for potential interruptions and monitor the predictions when the storm approaches.

After the storm, an arctic air jump will pass, which will lead to a prolonged period of frigid temperatures.
