Tallahassee Associates Associates, a prominent local medical group, has announced that it is being restructured against the background of departure for a number of doctors and unconfirmed reports that it plans to close completely.

The TPCA announced organizational changes on its website in a statement to patients on January 29.

Patients are targeted at other laboratories, including QWest diagnostic services, “for all future laboratory needs,” the statement said.

“Your doctor will help you with this transition,” TPCA said. “We want to assure you that these changes are administrative and will not affect the quality of the care you receive or affect your medical records.”

Some patients have received letters from their insurers, saying that their TPCA doctors will no longer be on their network. Meanwhile, employees at TPCA doctors, located throughout the city, told patients that the medical group plans to close completely, although they did not meet. The word in this sense has been distributed on social media since the message appeared.

“From my understanding, TPCA will no longer be something,” one person writes on another topic on Facebook. “All doctors go on separate roads and the TPCA building is sold.”

A reporter who visited the office on Wednesday had said that managers were on a meeting and were not available for comment. Troy Johnson, CEO of TPCA, did not return a telephone call or email from Democrat Tallahassee.

Courtney Richardson, a TPCA marketing manager, said he could not discuss the situation outside the public message. Asked if the TPCA was dissolving, she replied, “There is no comment on that.”

“We want to repeat patient care, our doctors and shareholders remain our primary priority,” she said.

A number of doctors have left the practice in recent years, social media patients said. They have been gone more recently, with some notifying patients through letters, text messages and newspaper ads.

John Turner has advertised Democrat on December 31, announcing that he will no longer provide medical assistance to patients treated at TPCA. In a recent letter to the patients, he wrote that he was leaving TPCA and began his own practice, Big Bend Family Medicine, which will follow a subscription model that he likened to Netflix or fitness membership.

In the letter Turner wrote that he had long said he would have to re -evaluate his model in practice or leave the medicine completely when the day comes, that he cannot spend “time” with patients to provide them with “loving and personalized care which they deserve. “

“Fortunately, I don’t plan to leave medicine: I like to take care of my patients too much for it and I’ve always felt called in the medical field,” he writes. “However, the installation of debt from practice and refusing to reduce the level of care I give to my patients has led to a time when the change in the model of my practice is a financial and professional need.”

Tallahassee Associates Associates have stated in the online letter that during their transition medical records will remain secure and affordable and current treatment plans “must continue without operation”. Practice recommended that patients contact their separate doctor’s offices in order to confirm the current contact information and any individual updates.

“We are grateful for the trust you put in our team and remain committed to providing exceptional health services to our community,” TPCA said. “Please do not rely on the validity or content of information shared on social media or other external sources.”

The 3 -acre plot, where TPCA is headquartered, replaced a few years ago, according to the records of the ownership of Leon County. Realco subsidiary, a real estate trading company in Charleston, West Virginia, sold it for $ 9 million in 2021 at a Global Medical Reit corporate formation, based in Besda, Maryland.
