NASCAR presents a new rule that will award a point for the fastest tour of any race – Burlington Times News

Daytona Beach, Florida – NASCAR unveiled a new rule on Tuesday, which will award a single team and driver with the fastest single tour of each race.

The Fastest Tour of Xfinity was added as part of the NASCAR and XFinity contract renewal. The new deal awards a point for the fastest tour in all three NASCAR national series, continues the role of Xfinity as a sponsor of the second level series in 2025 and includes a perennial XFinity agreement to expand its premium partnership with the CUP series S

Indycar has a quick stratum rule, but it was removed in Formula 1 before this season.
