Coaches of Lawrence County, indicated in the entry class “Tomorrow from 25” of South Carolina – Golaurens.com

The South Carolina Athletics Association (SCACA) and the League of the South Carolina High School (SCHSL), in partnership with the Performation in the Coach project, recently announced the 25 coaches selected to participate in the introductory class of South Carolina.

Tomorrow, the 25th is the signature leadership program from the Excellence in Coaching project. This is a 10-month society intended to invest in 25 coaches from the whole country who have been considered a new leader in high school and athletics. Currently, tomorrow’s coaching scholarship has been accepted into South Carolina and Mississippi.

“Tomorrow at the age of 25, it was a change of game in South Carolina and so badly needed for today’s world of coaching,” says Scott Earl, CEO of the South Carolina Coaches Association. “The program is the best thing we’ve done in a long time.”

All 25 coaches were identified by a selection committee and represent the best that the state could offer.

The final selections were to be the values of the coaching society – the love of young people and the desire to develop them for life in the context of sports – and had to demonstrate excellence in their sport as ambassadors of the state. They served in this year’s selection committee were Maggie Jameson (High School in Abeville), Greg Johnson (High School in West Florence), John Combs (High School Spring Valley), Thomas Bell) and Tydles Sibert.

Within 10 months tomorrow, 25 coaches will travel five times to places in Colombia and Clinton for a personal class, while the other five sessions are done in practice. The goals for each session of the coaching company are to support three areas of growth for each candidate:

1. Coaching of the whole athlete (leadership, sustainability, empathy and responsibility) – each participant will be able to apply materials to all sessions in his current school and share with his colleagues.

2. The possibility of connecting to 24 of their peers who have demonstrated the ability to be future leaders of the state in athletics.

3. Access to current leaders in SCACA, SCHSL, College of Athletics and other leaders of thought in education to learn how they can develop their spheres of influence in their communities and throughout the country.

The first session was held on August 14, and the coaches are approaching their seventh class session, which will be held on February 12. This year, a class of coaches will officially complete the program in mid -May.

This is also the first year of the program for tomorrow 25 is in two states (South Carolina and Mississippi) in the hope that the more intelligent cooperation outside the state will encourage breakthroughs in the coaching profession.

“Cooperation with other countries creates a unique opportunity for groups to share and learn from each other,” says Dr. Jerome Singleton, Commissioner of the South Carolina High School League. “This gives them the best chance of success in the coaching profession as it concerns the people who represent and serve.”
