Nevada Women’s Basketball Holds Boise State 69-61 to win for return – Nevada Sports Net

The Basketball for Women in Nevada defeated Boise State Broncos on Wednesday night at the Lawlor event center, 69-61.

Lexi Givens led Nevada with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists. Audrey Rodin also played a key role by recording a double-spirit with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Tory Davis also reached double figures, contributing 10 points to the Wolf package.

The package took the lead first with a givens arrangement created by the theft by Dymonique Maxie. Nevada went to date with Boise State in the first quarter, but struggled in the second, holding the lead in just three minutes in the first half. Although it made five turnover in the first half, Rodin remained a key contribution with eight points and three rebounds. The turnover turned out to be expensive for the package, which was 13 in the first half, which allowed Broncos to convert them into 10 points.

The WOLF package came out strong in the third quarter, marking another series of Givens and IZZY Sullivan to reduce its deficit to only three points. The bronze responded to the section, returning eight points ahead of the Wolf pack shortly after their jump. With five seconds remaining in the third quarter, Davis struck three-pointed to cut the package deficit up to 48-45, pointing to the last 10 minutes.

Givens tied the three -story game soon in the fourth quarter, but the result will be bound three more times before the package takes a significant lead over Broncos. Rodin made two free throws to tie the game for the last time with seven minutes, and from there the Wolf pack never flooded again.

The package has been locked for the last seven minutes of the game, with Givens scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter alone. Nevada continued at 7-0 at the end of the fourth quarter while holding Broncos without a result for three minutes to secure the victory.

Nevada improves to 10-14 as a whole and 5-6 in the mountain west, while Boise State falls to 15-9 as a whole and 5-6 in the mountain West. The Wolf package will return to San February 8th in San Jose to take over the Spartans.
