A man was killed in a shooting Thursday morning in Baton Rouge, police said – AOL

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPRUD) — Police say a man has died from his wounds after a shooting Thursday morning in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Carlis Sanders, 31, was found shot multiple times in an apartment in the 1300 block of Oriole Street near Scotland Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police said the motive and suspect are unknown at this time. An investigation is underway.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner, 108 homicides had occurred in the parish this year as of Oct. 21.
