Baton Rouge – Two teachers in Riveroaks elementary schools have been put on administrative leave after enrolling numerous preschool students who are piling up at one of their classmates in battle.

East Baton Rouge Lamont Cole’s Eastern Chief said on Wednesday that the two teachers who were not indicated would be investigated why they did not interfere with the consequences of the fight and experience.

A woman who said they were the mother of a participating student published a video on Wednesday, saying that her 4-year-old was the one who was abused.

“My son wakes up when he cries every morning, asking not to go to school because he says everyone is evil for him,” the woman said in his publication.

Cole said he did not know when the incident took place, but that he was informed on Wednesday after the director turned him to his attention. The Riveroaks director said they were not familiar with the incident until recently.

Cole said it was “completely terrible” that teachers did nothing to stop the match, adding that none of the students were seriously injured.

He also apologized to the families affected by the match, as well as to those whose faith in the area was shaken by the video.
