Man has been closed to possessing and distributing terrorism, which supports the group calling himself the Islamic State (IC).

Shaan Faruk of Salts in Birmingham was found guilty of the Birmingham court in December on three charges of deliberately distributing terrorism.

The 19-year-old has previously pleaded guilty to possessing terrorism from May to May 2022.

Farooq was sentenced to the same court earlier to five years and six months, plus four years of extended license.

Detectives searched Farooq’s home on July 11, 2022 and found a phone, laptop, tablet and iPad containing extremist materials and images that support IS.

Police said it intends to distribute the material to promote terrorism.

Faruk was arrested next month at the same time as his friend Amir El-Harit, who was later closed to terrorist crimes.

Faruk received three four years of sentences for the premeditated distribution of terrorism and 18 months for the possession of terrorism to move at the same time.
