Winter Consultant issued for Topeka and Northeast Kansas – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – On Wednesday morning, a consultant for the winter time for Topeka and Northeast Kansas was issued.

The consultative issued by the National Meteorological Service is in force until 15:00 Wednesday.

Freezing freezing and additional ice accumulation together with a slight glaze are possible, said in the Meteorological Service.

The roads, bridges and overpasses had become slippery on Wednesday morning and were dangerous in spots, the Meteorological Service reported.

Many slippery sidewalks were also possible, the Meteorological Service added.

Motorists are encouraged to be prepared for slippery roads and slow down and be careful when driving.

The people who go are also advised to watch their first few steps made on stairs, sidewalks and alleys, as these surfaces can be icy and slippery.
