Gen. Necrologist February 4, 2025 | Columbus, Georgia – Funeral House and Cream McMulen

Jean Gilbert Hall, 86, from Columbus, Ga, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

A visit to the Memorial will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the McMulan Funeral House and the McMulun Cream.

Jean was born on September 30, 1938 in Pulaski County, Ga, son of the late Julius Gilbert and Hall Hori Horn Hall. He spent his early childhood in Hawkinsville, Georgia, before moving to Columbus, Georgia. He was a graduate of 1957 at Baker High School.

Veteran, he served for four years in the Air Force as a cargo head and head of the C-119 team and a HC-130S cargo aircraft with headquarters outside Hikman, AFB Hawaii.

After leaving the Air Force, he was hired at Westinghouse Electric Supply Company as their branches manager. He retired in December 2000.

He was a member of the Edgewood Presbyterian Church.

Jean enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jean was preceded by death by his son Richard Gilbert Hall.

The survivors include his wife of 60 years, the Hall of Anne McLeod from Columbus, Georgia; Daughters, Cindy Hall Casanova (Jeff) from Marieta, Georgia, Amy Hall Forbs (Chris) from Midland, Georgia; grandchildren, Jack Forbes from Midland, Georgia, Sage Netherlands from Marieta, Georgia, and Charlie Forbes of Midland, Georgia.
