RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) – Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, will make her first campaign stop in Northern Nevada next week with a rally planned for Thursday, Oct. 31, a campaign spokesperson told News 4-Fox 11.
The event is a get-out-the-vote rally in Reno, but the exact location and time have not yet been announced, a campaign representative said.
Although her running mate, Tim Walz, has been to Reno on two separate occasions, this will be Harris’ first visit to the upstate since she replaced Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee.
She is also scheduled to hold a campaign rally in Las Vegas on October 31.
The last time Harris was in Northern Nevada was for an abortion forum at UNR in April 2023. During that discussion, she applauded efforts in Nevada to write abortion rights into the state constitution, saying the move was in a stark contrast to other states where such rights are under attack.
