Mark you a calendar for the events of Maryland Day – Annapolis Eye

Maryland Day weekend, set for March 21-23, 2025, invites locals and visitors to celebrate all things in Maryland with a diverse and engaging set of events in the County Ann Arundel. This year, the theme “Unity through the Community” expresses the wide range of events that will unite people to experience the rich cultural and historical stories of the area, from its emblematic places of inheritance to its vital public art centers.

The Cheesapeake Crossroads Heritage Room, the leading organization in the weekend planning, aims to emphasize the historical and cultural heritage that formed the county and the state during the Maryland birthday holiday. “Each place welcomes visitors to get acquainted with local stories and experiences from different communities that were originally connected to railway lines and Chesapiik Bay, but all of them weave together in the fabric that created the communities, the county and the state that we all call home “Says the home,” says House Eric Evans, Marketing Manager for Maryland Day. “With over 40 events spread over three days, Maryland Day Weekend is the perfect opportunity to experience the rich stories of humans, land and waters of the County Anne Arundel.”

The weekend of research and detection

Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy various over 40 activities that revive the history and culture of the region. From visits to reserved parks and farms to artistic exhibits and historical sites with periodic reconstructors, the weekend will allow guests to find the stories that have formed these local communities. All events will be appropriate for the family without any cost or cheap, with many opportunities to explore the natural beauty, the historical landmarks of Maryland and the life cultural scene.

Some events presented include:

  • Anaapolis Marine and Park: Take a look at interactive exhibits and engage with the ecology of Chesapik Bay and the Children’s Museum of Chesapik will offer special events for families with children.
  • Free School Museum of Ann Arundel County: experience a demonstration of colonial education, including the preparation of Johnnycakes and oil and learn to write with a pen.
  • Center for Arts in Chesapike: Enjoy the “movement movement: Women Training and Inspirational Generations” and participate in family crafts. The Federation of Arts in Maryland will have demonstrations of artists.
  • Historical Sites Tours: A step in history with tour of William Paka’s House. Historically London city and gardens and others will host family activities to enrich the experience anywhere.
  • Galesville’s Heritage Society: Discover the Kovachi exhibits in Galessville, housed in the restored garage from the 30s of the last century and learn about local crafts.
  • Painting of picturesque rivers: Join the guide march through the natural zone of Bacon Ridge, taking over the beauty of the preserved landscapes of the county.

Cultural and culinary temptations

In addition to historical tours and educational activities, Maryland Weekend’s day invites guests to immerse themselves in the culinary proposals of the county. Local seafood restaurants, a dining area from farm to table, art galleries and wineries will provide great opportunities for taste and experience of the aromas and creativity of Maryland.
