Petroineos spokesman said: “From Q2 this year, the grandmother will be ready to work as a National Fuel Distribution Center, which guarantees the protection of Scotland’s finished fuels.

“The process of safely passing the site from refinery to an import terminal is underway and will continue for several months.

“It is expected to completely wind up and dismantle the refinery to take a total of about five years, so the new terminal business will work in parallel with this process.”
