Gilbert Glass Recycling Program is expanding to five dropouts – AZ Alerts

After recycling over 100 tonnes of glass in 2024, through our successful pilot program in Freestone Park and Discovery Park, Gilbert improves its recycling efforts by introducing three new recycling places.

New places will provide residents with convenient options for throwing glass bottles, jars and jars responsibly.

New! Glass dropouts:

Cactus yards 4536 E. Elliot Road

McQueen District Park | 410 N. McQueen Road

Loading Facility to the South | 5250 S. Higley Road | Located east of the Gilbert Regional Park

Existing places:

Freestone Park | 1045 E. Juniper Road

Opening Park | 2214 E. Pecos Road

These purple glass recycling bins are available to residents offering a sustainable glass disposal solution.

Know before you leave:

• Only glass bottles, jars and jars are accepted at these places to drop.
• Glass jars of any color are taken.
• Please remove all covers or caps before placing your items in the bins.
• Do not bag your items.
• All glass objects should be empty and clean.
• Another glass, such as windows or glassware, is not taken.
• Do not leave other recycling materials or household garbage near the recycling bin.

Glass is not taken in the Gilbert’s curb recycling program (your blue bin). It can only be recycled at these new places to drop the community.
