The organization looked high and low, from sea to shining sea, but it didn’t need to look further than its own backyard.

On February 4, the Boise Association in the city center announced that the Board of Directors had elected Lauren Hamilton as the new CEO of DBA.

Hamilton, from Idaho, replaces Jen Hensley, who left for another position at the end of last year. More than 60 candidates fought for the position during a search, led by Talentspark.

“The rental committee took the challenge to find a new CEO as a meaningful opportunity,” said Jay History, President of the Council and the owner of Story Commercial. “We knew that this person would be responsible for maintaining the high achievements of the organization, while leading it through a new head of growth and innovation to meet the needs of our community.”

The story added that Hamilton understands what the area of the Boise Center is doing special and its commitment to lead the success of the business located in the area, “made it an ideal person to direct the DBA in its next era.”

Applicants for work have gone through several rounds of interviews and exercises to demonstrate their skills. The DBA said its new CEO was elected because of its vision for the future of the organization and its ability to present “a clear strategy and commitment to improve” the city center and experience for residents and visitors.

Previously, Hamilton worked at Boise Center, managing large -scale events, watching teams and creating strong relations with the community. She has also worked at the State University of Boise and at the organizations of the graduates of the University of Idaho.

“The city center is the heartbeat of our community – we are gathering, celebrating and supporting each other,” Hamilton said. “It is an honor for me to take on this role. I look forward to working with our incredible local companies, stakeholders and residents to ensure that the center continues to be a special, thriving and welcoming destination for all. ”
