Triumph became the eight brands that won the main 125/250 event in AMA Supercross history. This came to the fourth round on the west coast of 250sx in Glendale, with Jordan Smith walking 2-3-1 on the road to take the common in the first format of the triple crown for the season. It was the fifth victory in Smith’s career, but the first of the triumph history in the 13th experience after the first competition in 2024 in the opening round on the east coast of 250SX in Detroit.

Smith had four career victories before winning the triumph and gave the brand his first win with the 250SX Main Event. When Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM, Husqvarna and Gasgas won for the first time the main event of Small Bore Class, it was also the victory of the first career for every rider.

The class with small openings or the 250SX class, as we know now, was presented in 1985 to get a chance for young riders in the spotlight. And the first race took place on the opening season in San Diego, on January 26th. Todd Caud Cambpel won the 125SX opening west coast, which was his first career victory and the first for Kawasaki in this class.

The 2 round of 125SX West Coast took place on February 2 in Anaheim, where Mike Heli won her main event of the first career, but the Suzuki, which was the first victory for the brand.

Larry Brooks won the second round on the East Coast at 125SX in Orlando on April 27. The first victory in his career in the recruits of the recruits and the first victory for Honda in this class.

Yamaha had to wait a little longer to win this class. In 1988, young Mike Laroko won in Pontiac 1 at his first Supercross experience!

The new millennium saw the first wins for KTM and Husqvarna, both won by each week. Grant Langston won in Irving on April 21, 2001 and Travis Preston on April 27 in Orlando. And guess what? Both wins were also the first in the career of every rider.

Talking about the KTM Group, Gasgas (who won the main Premier Class event in 2021) then won his first major event of 250sx a year later in San Diego thanks to Michael Mosiman, and yes, that was his victory in the first Career …
