Heb, Walmart turn to egg deficiencies in Larendo – KGNS

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Some residents in the Web County notice a lack of eggs on the grocery shelves. The shortage caused fears whether the supply was affected.

Heb replied, explaining that shortage was due to bird flu that influenced egg supplies and raised prices in the US

“The retailers in the United States continue to feel the effects of bird flu that will temporarily tighten the presence of eggs and the prices of impact,” Heb said in a statement. “Heb remains in good supply of eggs and we work hard to relieve the effects of any increase in costs to maintain prices as accessible as possible.”

The company added that it was committed to providing safe, high quality products and carefully monitors the situation.

Walmart, another major retailer in the area, also tackled the problem, assuring customers that while delivery is narrow, they are working to satisfy demand.

“Currently Walmart does not have an egg purchase limit and although delivery is very narrow in some areas, we work with suppliers to try to help to respond to customer demand while striving to keep prices as low as possible “Walmart said.

Currently, local buyers are urging them to be patient, as stores continue to manage the current deliveries challenges.
