Helen Blackwell – Gatter on Gafni

Gaffney, SC – Helen Painter Blackwell, 93 -year -old, former Anthony Street, returned home to be with gentlemen on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Peachtree Center.

Born in Gafni, she was the widow of the late Leonard Leicester Black and the daughter of the late Garland artist, senior and Mommy Blanton Painter. She withdrew from Wachovia Bank, was the past president of business and professional women’s club in Gafni, a member of the Baptist Church in West End and the last surviving member of her close family.

Her nieces and care survived, Kay Alison (Rex) and Sheila Carpenter (Dave); nephews and nephews, Theresa Bright (Benny), Deborah McNight (Terry), Cindy Hudens (Robbie), Mike Painter (Sharon) and Denise Voltz; Multiple great-priority and magnificent and daughter-in-law, Anita artist. She also survived her extended family Terry Blacwell (Bonnie), Leonard Blacuel, Jr. (Emily) and Todd Blakwell. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded by death by sister, dear Donahu, brothers, artist of Garland, junior, artist of Horace and Jonas Claude Painter and half brothers, Karl Painter and Giele Painter.

The family would like to provide special thanks to Peachtree Center Units 1 and 3 administrations and staff and Agape Hospice for their loving care.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Blakely funeral home. The funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel of blackels with Reverend Michael McCarry. The interment will be in Frederick’s memorial gardens.

Instead of flowers, monuments of the Baptist Church in West End, 400 Overbrook Drive, Gaffney, SC 29341 can be made.
