Dr. Gary Miller announces a candidacy for Virginia’s delegates in the 49th district -WSLS 10

Danville, VA. -Dr. Gary Miller announced his candidacy for the Virginia delegates in the 49th district on Tuesday.

The doctor and city councilor have announced their application for the democratic nomination for the Virginia Delegates in the 49th district.

“As far as I remember, they called me to serve,” said Dr. Miller. “Whether it is a life -saving doctor, an urban adviser who is fighting for jobs or a coach who invests in our children, I have always believed in putting people in the first place. I run because Southside Virginia needs experienced leadership, real decisions and a representative that will never stop fighting for people. “

According to the announcement, Dr. Miller begins his life in Gate, working on a farm and drives a tractor at only 14 years old.

Dr. Miller founded Danville and Pioneer Cardiology Consultants in the first open-hearted bypass program in partnership with Duke University. He also performed his first catheterization of the heart in 1990, according to Dr. Miller.

“I have never stopped showing myself for the people of Danville – and now I’m ready to fight Richmond,” said Dr. Miller.
