Four Birmingham men accused of three separate theft incidents at Jefferson Co. – WBRC

Birmingham, Ala. (WBRC) – The Federal Grand Jury has accused four Birmingham men of crimes associated with several different incidents of Jefferson County.

According to US prosecutor, Prim Escalona and the FBI special agent corresponding to Carleton Pilis, the four men were charged in January during three different incidents.

The following men face charges:

  • 30-year-old Derrius Dontrell Pace was accused of stealing and abducting. The incident happened on July 16, 2024.
  • 22-year-old Charles Avery Prut was accused of stealing and possessing a firearm in support of a crime of violence. The incident happened on July 10, 2024.
  • Cone D’As Harris, 24, was accused of stealing and possessing a firearm in support of a crime of violence. The incident happened in October 2024.
  • 24-year-old Brandon Taylor Ezel was accused of stealing and possessing a firearm in support of a crime of violence. The incident happened in October 2024.

The FBI investigates each of these cases. Authorities remind you that the indictments only contain fees. All defendants are considered innocent until they are proven to be guilty.
